SUMMARY: Situated on a private, secluded white sand beach in Los Cabos, Baja California, Mexico, this minimalist Moroccan-Greco styled oasis ranks up their within your wildest dreams and imaginations. Sentiments of Santorini in Mexico come to mind. It is no wonder this is the location desired and frequented by the celebrities and CEOs of the world.
I have stayed here three times and I confess it is one of my world favorite spa locations and not so much for the spa experience itself!
Las Ventanas is total serenity with “at your fingertips” stellar service. Wait staff and attendants come and go with a smile and a whisper. The pool areas are my favorite spots to relax, read and go totally mindless. Your chaise lounge overlooks the chalcedony blue waters of the Sea of Cortez, which lies beyond the edge of the glass-surfaced infinity pool. Everything is understated elegance here and no desire goes unfulfilled.
The spa area is intimate and efficient. The therapists are genteel and thoughtful. My male massage therapist was truly terrific and very well trained. There are many treats offered for the body including massages, wraps, scrubs, mud therapies, stone massages, facials and other more esoteric treatments as well. And let’s not forget some treatments designed with ingredients from the Baja Desert in mind! Various manicures, pedicures and hair services are also available…even personal training and yoga sessions if that’s what you want to do. There are a few other more “medi-spa” types of treatments also to be had if you want something a bit more result-oriented. The spa is open from 8AM to 8PM so there is plenty of time to enjoy a variety of therapies. After my treatment I sat in the quite warm spa tub with great jet action … very relaxing but not very private…so who cares? Let your mind and inhibitions relax in this desert sanctuary … and afterwards go have a Vampiro cocktail at the pool!
I cannot wait to go back as this is truly one of my favorite places to go. Be prepared for serenity – this is NOT a “party hearty” beach experience…this is for those seeking privacy and relaxation immersed in total elegance --- which you WILL pay for!
