Summary: An outstanding experience overall. The lush, flower-filled water garden setting throughout the spa leaves no doubt that this is a retreat. Indonesian-style treatment suites are beautifully appointed with native Batik linens and each includes a private courtyard with an outdoor shower and soaking tub. Guests remain in the same suite for the duration of the spa visit. Each guest is assigned an attendant/therapist who is at their service from check-in to departure. The therapists were fluent in English and their skill and execution of treatments such as massages, facials and body scrubs were consistently high quality. All treatments incorporate indigenous ingredients such as turmeric, cinnamon, ginger and lime to reinforce the Balinese experience. Spa guests also have access to the steam room, sauna and enormous outdoor Jacuzzi during the visit. Gym, exercise classes and pool are provided elsewhere in resort.
