SUMMARY: Wow! How did we find this place? All I can say is -- I didn't do it! I went to Las Vegas with a group of gals and we stayed in a time share away from the downtown strip action. One of the members of our group did some research and found this unusual spot 7 minutes from the MGM and the strip for our "day at the spa".
Djanel Spa & Salon is very efficiently run by the owner of the same name who is loaded with foreign charm rich with "Welcome, dahlings!" This day spa is a true step in to yesteryear but I'm not sure WHICH year. I know that none of us quite knew what to think for a long while but at the end of the day we decided it was charming...in its own way.
The decor is dated, to be sure, in the way that Palm Springs is dated a la 60's. Yes, it's funky. I half expected the Gabor sisters to be on the premises! The reasonably priced service menu offers many massage choices, waxing services, hair treatments, body scrubs and exfoliating treatments, facials, peels and an assortment of packages. I had a massage that I thought was pretty good and so did the other ladies in our group.
We had a very nice salad lunch catered in and we all sat around a table outdoors under a covered tent setup (thank heavens!) Cocktails would add to the adventure!
One nice feature is a pick up and delivery service which we did use and thought was convenient. Enjoy this place at your own leisure!
